Skim USA Contest Types

This is a breakdown of SkimUSA contest types and minimum requirements. In all contest types, all competitors must be a member in good standing of the Skim USA Association. Contest T-shirts will be provided at no charge to all who enter Skim USA events, and trophies or similar commemorative awards along with product prizes from event sponsors are awarded to amateur division winners from 1st through 4th place. Unless otherwise specified, all event judging and scoring will be managed using the Skim USA LiveHeats scoring system.

Community Competitions

Community Competitions are permitted to have a maximum of 60 competitors across all Amateur divisions

These contests have no Professional entries and are reserved for Amateur competitors only

Community Competitions are not points-earning events in the Skim USA Championship Tour

Judging for Community Competitions are not managed through the Skim USA LiveHeats scoring system

Amateur-Only Competitions

Amateur-Only competitions have no Professional entries and are reserved for Amateur competitors only

These contests require a minimum of 60 competitors in order for competitors to be awarded Skim USA Championship Tour points.

Pro-Am Competitions

These are the most common contest types that Skim USA promotes, and make up the main body of the Skim USA Championship Tour each year

These contests require a minimum of 75 competitors in order for competitors to be awarded Skim USA Championship Tour points

Pro-Am competitions will always have a minimum pro purse of $2,000.00 (total for both divisions)

Professional-Only Competitions

These Profesional-Only competitions have only Professional Men’s and Women’s Divisions. There are no Amateur entries for these competitions

A Semi-Pro Division may be added at the discretion of the contest organizer

Pro-Am competitions will always have a minimum pro purse of $5,000.00 (total for both divisions)
